Read More	Carl "Pete" Tessin, Jr., 76, West Fargo, ND, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 in MeritCare Hospital Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. Carl, known as Pete, was born March 7, 1930 at Milbank, SD. He was raised and attended school in Milbank until his senior year when the family moved to Webster, SD where he graduated from high school. He began working for the Zontelli Electrical Contractors as a lineman, working in SD, ND & MN. Pete married Mary Lou Eggert, February 24, 1951 at Valley City, ND and the couple made their home in Cook, MN. In 1952, Pete entered the Army and was discharged in 1954. His Army duty was spent in France at the American Embassy. He also worked as an electrician on projects in ND and for two years in Thule, Greenland. The Tessins moved to Valley City in 1959 where he worked as a lineman until 1976, when they moved to West Fargo where he continued work as a lineman. In 1981, they moved to Hillsboro, ND, where he was the City Superintendent until retiring in 1993. Upon his retirement, they returned to West Fargo. Pete was a member of the Valley City Eagles, the NRA, life member of the Hillsboro VFW and a 50 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Pete is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, West Fargo; four sons, Roger (Vickie), West Fargo, Mike, Danbury, WI, Rick, Hillsboro, ND, Larry (Peggie), Becker, MN; two daughters, Patricia (Ron) Geerdes, Pelican Rapids, MN, Nancy (Mark) Hansen, Horace, ND; brother, James (Barb), Grafton, ND; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson. Funeral: Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
