She was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Kingsville, Ohio, the daughter of Alvin C. and Anna K. (Sojka) Crawford. On August 13, 1952, she married Norman A. Nagle and they celebrated forty-five years of marriage before he died on May 18, 1998. A long time member of the former Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church, she taught Sunday school and Bible School. Read More	ASHTABULA — Carla Ann Nagle, age 75, of Bunker Hill Road, died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.. She was born Oct. 11, 1935, in Kingsville, Ohio, the daughter of Alvin C. and Anna K. (Sojka) Crawford. On August 13, 1952, she married Norman A. Nagle and they celebrated forty-five years of marriage before he died on May 18, 1998. A long time member of the former Harris Memorial Presbyterian Church, she taught Sunday school and Bible School. Serving the church as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee, as well as belonging to the Women’s Association gave her great satisfaction. Carla’s love of reading, lead her to be a reading tutor for many young people. An active member of the Eagles Auxiliary #1463, VFW Auxiliary #943 and Dolls-R-Us, she created many treasured friendships. The greatest accomplishment of her life was the wonderful ability to create a safe, loving and welcoming home for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their many friends. She is survived by her children, Philip (Mary Beth) Nagle and Kathy Nagle, both of Ashtabula and Mary Elizabeth (Charles) Lambert of Hamilton; and grandchildren, Steven Daigle of Ashtabula, Julie (Allan) Topper of South Carolina, Andrew Daigle and Amanda Ashley, both of Ashtabula, Jeffrey Bahr of Cleveland, Jenna Daigle of Geneva, Philip Nagle and Hanna Nagle, also of Ashtabula and Matthew and Joe Nagle of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. Nagle; daughter, Glenna Daigle; twin granddaughters, Sara Elizabeth and Katherine Ann; siblings, Wanda Worden, Mary Lea Rebera, Alvin C. Crawford Jr. and Donald C. Crawford. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 29th, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1342 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Dean Myers, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Plymouth Township, Ashtabula, Ohio. Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 28th, at ZABACK-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with a Memorial Service provided by the members of VFW Auxiliary #943 at 7:45 p.m. Contributions in Carla’s name may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1342 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 or to Caring Bridge. The Nagle family would like to thank the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Ashtabula County Medical Center for the care given to their mother during her illness.
