She was surrounded by her daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William Clenin; granddaughter, Angeline Philips; and seven siblings. Hockenhull, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction. Carla was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Las Cruces, to John and Albitha Godbehere. She was one of nine children. She is survived by one sister, Georgia Ruth Latham and husband, Richard, of Rhome, Texas; her children, Carolyn Higgs and husband, Butch, Dee Vodema Brenton and husband, Ron, Bertha Welch and husband, Martin, Tommie Kunze and husband, Norm, and special adopted neighbors, Nancy and Ray Verzani, all of Grand Junction, Susan Lucero, Carla Wagoner and husband, Mike, Louetta Johnson and husband, James, of Farmington, and John Clenin of Iowa. She also has 35 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Carla grew up in New Mexico and finally retired to Grand Junction. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She donated her time as a volunteer at San Juan Regional Medical Center and went on to become a nurse. When she retired to Grand Junction, she continued to volunteer for numerous non-profit organizations. She also sold Avon for 15 years as a hobby. Carla was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and all who came in contact with her warm, loving spirit. She is gone from our presence, but will forever be in our hearts until we meet again. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness during our time of sorrow.
