Interment will follow in the Alzada Cemetery at Alzada. Carley passed away on March 28, 2012 at the Dahl Memorial Healthcare Nursing Home in Ekalaka, MT from complications of lymphoma cancer. Although her last months were difficult, Carley lived the life she so enjoyed with her family and close friends by her side on a daily basis. Carley Collins was born on February 4, 1928 to Clarence and Alice (Stockton) Collins at Hulett, Wyoming. She was the youngest child of three. Carley attended school at Alva and Hulett, WY and Belle Fourche, SD. She often rode to grade school with her father who drove a horse-drawn school bus for the Alva students. It was her mother's desire that Carley graduate from high school, however, her love at that time and a love that continued throughout her life was ranching and raising animals, and being outdoors.When she was 16, she was baptized in the Methodist Church of Belle Fourche, SD. She married Loran Bartlett on June 20, 1947 in Belle Fourche, SD. Together they had three children: Laurel Ann, Lonny and Lindy. During their marriage, they worked for several ranchers in the community. They later divorced and Carley married Claude Storm on October 29, 1955 in Deadwood, SD. She lived on the Storm Ranch near Hulett with Claude until his death. At that time, Carley, with her three children, moved to the River Place on the Storm Ranch and continued to live there until her children graduated from Hulett High School. While living there, in addition to ranching, for many years she had up to five milk cows and sold butter, eggs and milk to the miners at the Hauber mine. In 1971, Carley sold her share of the Storm ranch and bought the Coleman property four miles west of Alzada, MT where she resided until the time of her death. In 1971, Carley also met and had a life with Gene Brimmer and together owned a dirt moving business, the Valley Inn in Alzada, MT and also managed the William's sheep ranch west of Alzada. People in the community always enjoyed stopping at the Valley Inn for a hearty meal, a 25 cent cup of coffee, and good conversation. They sold the dirt moving business prior to Gene's death in 1995. After Gene's death, Carley sold the Valley Inn, however, she continued to manage the William's sheep ranch with her son until they sold out of the sheep business in 2010. Carley was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two brothers, Wilford and Norman, and grandson, Mark Jackovich.
