Description	:	Carmela Brousseau, 95, of Tremont Street, Rehoboth, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2010 in the Golden Living Center, Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Omer E. Brousseau, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on July 9, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Guido and Olimpia (Dente) Nardella. She was raised in the "Natick" section of West Warwick and educated in Warwick and West Warwick schools. Read More	Carmela Brousseau, 95, of Tremont Street, Rehoboth, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2010 in the Golden Living Center, Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Omer E. Brousseau, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage. Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on July 9, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Guido and Olimpia (Dente) Nardella. She was raised in the "Natick" section of West Warwick and educated in Warwick and West Warwick schools. Carmela worked for twenty two years as a seamstress at the former Pawtucket Dress Company, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Garment Worker's Union of New York. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Seekonk, and a Rehoboth resident for 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and especially making afghans for Hasbro Children's Hospital, which she did for many years. Carmela is survived by a niece: Kathryn Spurr of Coventry, Rhode Island, a nephew: Rudolph Nardella of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and many cousins. She was the sister of the late Rudolph Nardella and the late Mary Nardella. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 4 – 7 PM in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk, celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Rita, Pastor. Mrs. Brousseau will be laid to rest with her late husband Omer in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro. Published in Legacy on Feb. 12, 2010.
