Description	:	WINSLOW - Carmen A. (Joseph) DeRocher died Friday, May 14, 2004, at the age of 76. She was born in Winslow on Jan. 23, 1928, the daughter of Leon and Pauline (Roussy) Joseph. She worked at C.F. Hathaway in Waterville, Sampson Supermarket in Fairfield and Waterville and Cottle's Supermarket in Waterville. On June 19, 1948, was married to Roger DeRocher at St. John Catholic Church in Winslow by the Rev. Frawley. They had two daughters, Evelyn and Joan. (Joseph) DeRocher died Friday, May 14, 2004, at the age of 76. She was born in Winslow on Jan. 23, 1928, the daughter of Leon and Pauline (Roussy) Joseph. She worked at C.F. Hathaway in Waterville, Sampson Supermarket in Fairfield and Waterville and Cottle's Supermarket in Waterville. On June 19, 1948, was married to Roger DeRocher at St. John Catholic Church in Winslow by the Rev. Frawley. They had two daughters, Evelyn and Joan. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter Joan Doyon; two sisters, Rose (Compagnon) Gauvin and Adrienne Bard; also by five brothers, Omer, Philibert, Leopold, Fernand and Maurice. She is survived by her husband of 56 years; a daughter, Evelyn and her husband, John Ridley, of Crown Point, Ind.; three grandsons, Jeffrey Doyon of Fairfield, Roger Ridley of Crown Point and Scott Doyon and his wife, Sara, of Clinton; two great-granddaughters, Renda and Ashlee of Clarkville, Tenn.; a special niece, Jackie Rioux and special cousin Jeanne Carey, both of Winslow; her longtime friends, Pauline and Sherman Lloyd of Skowhegan; plus several nieces and nephews. Carmen's family wishes to thank Dr. Dionne, Dr. Hertler, Dr. Rowe and the staff of the radiation and oncology department at Thayer Unit, MaineGeneral Medical Center, also HealthReach Hospice, especially Marion Foster, for her time and effort during her final days. By her request, there will be no visiting hours. A funeral will be held at a later date. (Morning Sentinel 5/15/2004)
