Description	:	Carol A. (Lato) Burrell, 77, of Kennerdell Pa., formerly of Ashville, Pa. and Spartanburg, S.C., was granted her wish to be with the Lord in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Lato; and her husband, Dean Burrell of South Carolina. {For survivors, see published obit below]. She spent the last 11 great years of her life with Jerry. He gave her the strength and courage to try to enjoy life, even during her fight with cancer. (Lato) Burrell, 77, of Kennerdell Pa., formerly of Ashville, Pa. and Spartanburg, S.C., was granted her wish to be with the Lord in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Lato; and her husband, Dean Burrell of South Carolina. {For survivors, see published obit below]. She spent the last 11 great years of her life with Jerry. He gave her the strength and courage to try to enjoy life, even during her fight with cancer. The love they shared was immeasurable and because of him she had new found friends. His loving, caring family became hers as well. Carol was a 1961 graduate of Cresson Joint High School (now Penn Cambria) and attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing where she became a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse for more than 40 years at Spartanburg Regional and DHEC Home Health; and part-time after retirement at a chiropractic office in Spartanburg, S.C. She loved her family and extended family, traveling, and Thanksgiving dinners at her best friend and sister Fran's house. Carol also loved spending winters at a retirement community in Florida, and summers cherishing nature by feeding the birds and wildlife while sitting on her porch swing at the home where she lived. She loved listening to the sights and sounds of nature and watching all of the activities on the Allegheny River. Those who loved and knew her will miss her smiling face, spunky personality, and caring heart. She may be out of our sight, but always on our minds, and in our hearts. Now she finally has happiness and peace and the reward of heaven is hers. Enjoy paradise Carol. Until we meet again…Love you. At the request of the deceased, services were private.
