Read More	FREY, CAROL ANN—Carol Ann (Foster) Frey was born March 11, 1944, to Russell Bland Foster and Wilma (Allen) Foster in Valentine. She passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 57 years. She attended Valentine public schools, graduating in 1962. In July 1962, she married Chet Frey of Valentine. They resided in Denver, Colo.; Panama City, Fla., and Germany while Chet served in the U.S. Air Force. Upon completion of Chet’s Air Force duty, they returned to Valentine to live. In February 1968, a daughter, Michelle Rene was born. In January 1969, the family moved to Geneva when Chet became administrator of Heritage of Geneva. A second daughter, Melinda Rae, was born in February of 1974. A third daughter, Makala Ruth was born in December 1976. A son, Matthew Ryan, was born in July 1979. Carol attended Joseph’s School of Beauty in Hastings and began a career in cosmetology. She opened her own beauty shop, House of Hair, in 1973. Carol was active in the Friend Gospel Tabernacle and later in the Geneva Assembly of God Church. Her involvement included teaching Sunday school, leading worship and music ministry. She also gave piano lessons, was active in women’s Bible studies and her children’s school activities. Carol’s main focus in life was to know God and to show His love to others in such a way that they would be drawn to Him. She poured herself into her family and church. Carol was deeply loved for her devotion to family, compassion for others, giving and caring nature, and spirit of encouragement and mercy. She will be remembered for being godly and pure, committed to prayer and Bible study and her love of music. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Chet; parents, Russell and Wilma Foster, and her brother Jerry Foster and wife Pauline. She is also survived by her children; Michelle and Cordell Beaver, Rae Ann and Gabriel; Mindy and Paul Wagenman and Madison; Makala and Jason Bahr; and Matthew Frey, and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept, 11 2001, at the Assembly of God of Geneva with Pastor Woodrow Weidner officiating. Former Pastors Ron Rice, Stephen Fulks and Chris Hoyer also participated in the service. Music was provided by Jim Davis, Rev. Stephen and Julie Falks and Barbara Lockwood. Pallbearers were Rod Eigsti, Joel Harmon, Russell Knutzen, Gerald Oswald, Don Reiman and Gary Tuttle. Burial followed at Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal September 19th, 2001 page 14.
