Interment will follow at 2:30 PM Thursday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Rice Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 4:00-6:00 PM followed by a rosary on Wednesday at the funeral home. Carol Ann Kublnick, age 65, died at home in Claremore, OK on Jan. 9, 2017, surrounded by friends and family. Carol had been on hospice care following a several month-long illness. was born Carol Ann Knapp on Oct. 4 1951, in Pittsburg, KS. to William R. Knapp, a career U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, and Ann M. Knapp, a U.S. Civil Service employee. Carol Ann attended a number of parochial schools across the country during her father s naval career. She graduated from Father Colgan High School in Pittsburg with the Class of 1970 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1974. Carol Ann married Richard Kublnick of Independence, KS in 1974 at St. Barbara's Church in Chicopee, KS. The couple moved to Oklahoma where Carol worked in several accounting positions in Tulsa. She retired from the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce in 2013. Richard preceded Carol Ann in death in 2011. Carol Ann was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Claremore and she was very much loved by her family and friends. Carol Ann is survived by her daughter Katherine Ann Williams and her husband Orion Williams of Claremore; her grandchildren: Cody Williams and Taylor Williams of Claremore; her mother in law Alice Jones of Independence, KS; and her sister in laws: Beth Nichols of Independence and Becky Humphrey of Cherryvale, KS; brother Patrick Knapp and his wife Becky Knapp of Joplin MO; 2 nieces, a nephew, and 2 great nieces. Ann had numerous cousins living in the Kansas City, KS and Denver, CO areas. She will be sorely missed by all.
