Burial in the Ivy Hill Cemetery north of Malcom, Iowa. Carol Ann Lamb was the daughter of Earl Friend and Ruth Olive Lamb Lamb. Burial in the Ivy Hill Cemetery north of Malcom, Iowa. Carol Ann Lamb was the daughter of Earl Friend and Ruth Olive Lamb Lamb. She was raised on the family farm near Montezuma, Iowa and graduated from Montezuma High School in 1958. She was married to Larry Arendt on March 29, 1958, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They were blessed with two sons, Craig and Jack, and a daughter, Barbara and raised their family in Des Moines, Deep River, Gibson, and Montezuma, respectively. Following their retirement in 1998, they moved to Lake Ponderosa. Their marriage later ended in divorce in 1994. Carol suffered a massive stroke in 2003 and limited her from enjoying all the things she loved to do. She has been cared for by the staff at the Mayflower Community for the last 14 years, to which the family is most grateful for the wonderful and loving care she was provided. She was a member of the Montezuma Presbyterian Church, the Mother's Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Montezuma Country Club, and was a 4-H Leader. Carol had a strong personality and loved to be the one in charge; as her family mentioned, "It was Carol's way or the wrong way." She was big Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball fan and was famous for her tailgate venues at Iowa Hawkeye football games. Her enjoyments included golfing and playing bridge at Montezuma Country Club, and most importantly, attending her grandchildren's activities.
