Description	:	Carol Ann Carr, 61, of Douds died at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008 at Hospice House, Ottumwa. She was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Ottumwa to Robert and Naomi Steinman Williams. She married Carl L. Carr Nov. 20, 1966 in Ottumwa Baptist Temple. Carol graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1966. She worked at Molly's Restaurant while in high school. She was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Ottumwa to Robert and Naomi Steinman Williams. She married Carl L. Carr Nov. 20, 1966 in Ottumwa Baptist Temple. Carol graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1966. She worked at Molly's Restaurant while in high school. She and Carl lived on the Carr family farm south of Douds until moving to town in 1985. Carol worked 30 years at Farmers and Traders Savings Bank, Douds, as a teller and loan officer. She had also been hostess at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, and was a volunteer caregiver to several senior citizens in Douds. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Douds, was a long-time treasurer of John Hyson Reneker Unit 494, American Legion Auxiliary, Douds Historical Preservation Association and Leando Cemetery Association. She represented Douds on the Van Buren County Iowa Sesquicentennial Committee in 1996, was a member of the Golden Girls bowling team and was secretary of the women's bowling league at Van Buren Bowl, Keosauqua. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Kristina Quinn (Steven) of Washington, a son, Robert Carr (Tara) of Des Moines, three grandchildren: Ashley Crable (Michael) of Fairfield and Carl Dean and Kaitlynn Carr of Des Moines, a great grandson, Austin Crable of Fairfield, a sister, Wanda Lynch-Davis (Norman) of Rio Linda, Cal., sister-in-law Jean Williams of Phoenix, Ariz., other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Jordan Smith, and a brother, Joseph Williams. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 in Christ United Methodist Church, Douds, Rev. Ann Donat officiating. Published in the Ottumwa Daily Courier from 11/27/2008 - 11/28/2008
