Description	:	Carol F. Decker, 89, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was born in Buckeye, IA on October 29, 1919 to Julius Lindsey and Maude Alma (Beers) Lowry. On August 18, 1938, in Ames, IA, she married Dr. B. Russell Decker and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1992. Mrs. Decker taught Business Education, primarily typing and shorthand. She enjoyed working with students of all ages at Davis College in the 1970's. As a wife, mother and homemaker, she received both her BA and Master's degrees from Bowling Green State University. She was born in Buckeye, IA on October 29, 1919 to Julius Lindsey and Maude Alma (Beers) Lowry. On August 18, 1938, in Ames, IA, she married Dr. B. Russell Decker and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1992. Mrs. Decker taught Business Education, primarily typing and shorthand. She enjoyed working with students of all ages at Davis College in the 1970's. As a wife, mother and homemaker, she received both her BA and Master's degrees from Bowling Green State University. She attended classes part-time from 1960 to 1970 while her children were growing up. She was a member over the years of numerous Methodist churches and most recently attended the First Christian Church in Bowling Green. She was active in the girls Scouts from 1955 to 1960 and Kappa Phi Sorority at BGSU from 1960 to 1970. She also was instrumental in designing the Executive Secretarial curriculum at Patricia Stevens in Toledo. Surviving are her three daughters, Linda Alberta Fite of Bowling Green, Diana Irene Rosendale of Cedar, MI, and Ellen Elizabeth Cole of Moore, OK, one son, Bruce Richard Decker of Findlay, OH, one sister, Margaret Maude Disque of Colorado Springs, CO. She also has eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who mourn her passing.
