She was baptized at the First Lutheran church here on August 7, 1938. The following poem was written by her aunt, Miss Jane Dahl in memory of her beloved niece, who is deeply missed by all who knew her: "Our Baby" The sun that rose that early morn Took all our dreams astray, For on that day our little girl Went silently, her way. The tiny hands so weak and frail, Her face so thin and white, The deep blue eyes, her mother's heir, So weak from pain and light. Her little cry, that mournful sound Shall echo oft, through memories past, The picture of the darling face, So close to life's at last! Our thoughts go back to her that was, When from our work we cease, Yet in a better sense we know She's home with God in peace.
