Members of the class included: Dean Anderson, Karen Anderson, Patricia Batcheller, Marilyn Biven, James Boyle, Carol Burger, Kay Fox, Jerry Hagge, Jeryl Huffman, Gary Huss, Gary Jack, Karon Lindgren, Sharon Lindgren, Leon Meinecke, Janice Mullins, Ronald Smith, and Dennis Subbert. On Nov. 19, 1961, she became the bride of Willis Warren Schroeder, son of Mrs. Florence M. Schroeder and the late Henry F. Schroeder. After a wedding trip to Chicago, they resided in Des Moines. She was employed at Meredith Publishing Company, and he was a student at Drake University. On March 23, 1941, she was baptized by Pastor A. C. Gottberg in Christ Lutheran Church, Churdan, where she was also confirmed. She attended Paton Consolidated School from which she graduated in 1958. She was united in marriage with Willis Schroeder in Trinity Lutheran Church, Jefferson, on Nov. 19, 1961. In March of 1962, she and her husband moved to Davenport where they had made their home. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church. She attained the age of 22 years, 5 months, 28 days. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Willis; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Burger; four sisters: Mrs. Raymond Lewis, Mary Lou Marsch, and Judy Burger, all of Fort Dodge, and Shirley, at home; two brothers: Dwayne of Fort Dodge and Thomas at home; two grandmothers: Mrs. Mary Burger of Farnhamville and Mrs. Rosa Cross of Jefferson; seven nieces and two nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Delbert Weiss, local pastor, and Rev. Fred H. Ilten, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, officiated. Mrs. Duane Seil, accompanied by Mrs. Calvin Juergensen, sang "Beautiful Savior" and "Be Still My Soul." Casket bearers were Walter Light, Ronald Hepp, Arlo Burger, Gary Bendickson, William Hansen, and Dennis Nahnsen. Interment was in Dawson Twp Cemetery. Source: Jefferson Herald of June 2, 1963
