HINCK AUGUST 2 Funeral services for Carol Maxine Hinck were held August 2, 1982 at the Victory Temple Assembly of God Church in Holyoke with Pastor Bill Beard officiating. Carol Maxine Hinck, long-time resident of Holyoke, more recently of Tangent, Oregon, passed away unexpectantly at the age of 58 in Evanston, Wyoming on July 28, 1982. Carol was the daughter of Bessie and Fletcher Kruse, born in Holyoke on June 26, 1924. She spent her childhood and adolescent years on the family farm located west of Holyoke, attending country school near Paoli, and Haxtun High School. On June 28, 1942, Carol was united in marriage to Walter Eugene Hinck. To this union two children were born, Fletcher (Gene) Hinck of Holyoke, and Lola Clubb of Dardanelle, Arkansas. While residing in Holyoke, Carol was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and is a past President of the auxiliary. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening and her flower gardens. In the fall of 1971, Carol and Walter moved to Crawfordville, Oregon where they resided until 1977 when they moved to Tangent, Oregon. During this time she was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Garden Club. Preceding her in death was her father in 1949. She is survived by her husband, Walter of Tangent, Oregon; son Gene and his family of Holyoke; daughter Lola and her family of Dardenelle, Arkansas; mother Bessie Kruse of Albany, Oregon, brothers Verne Kruse of Minot, North Dakota and Donald Kruse of Albany, Oregon; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Interment was at the Holyoke Memorial Park.
