Description	:	A wonderful friend and fellow researcher, Carol Rose Page Tilson died Jan 22, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska at age 72. Carol was born in Grand Island, Hall Co., Nebraska November 21, 1943 to Merle and Mary (Beyer) Page. She attended Grand Island High School and graduated with the class of 1961. Carol went on to earn her teaching degree from Kearney State College. On August 3, 1968 Carol married Robert Tilson at Grand Island and taught at Westside High School in Omaha where they lived. Read More	A wonderful friend and fellow researcher, Carol Rose Page Tilson died Jan 22, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska at age 72. Carol was born in Grand Island, Hall Co., Nebraska November 21, 1943 to Merle and Mary (Beyer) Page. She attended Grand Island High School and graduated with the class of 1961. Carol went on to earn her teaching degree from Kearney State College. On August 3, 1968 Carol married Robert Tilson at Grand Island and taught at Westside High School in Omaha where they lived. Moving to Lexington in 1973 gave Carol the opportunity to teach at the Lexington High School and later, work at the Lexington Clipper Herald. Robert and Carol moved back to Omaha in 1983 and Carol became a freelance journalist for Midlands Business Journal and the Omaha Medical Society. Carol was a gifted writer, an avid genealogist, an exceptional researcher and she never stopped being a teacher. She was always willing to share her research, generally with a dose of her quick sense of humor. Her “fur babies” as she called them, Schnauzers Brandy, Corbin and Jeremiah, were very special to her. Survivors include her husband, of Omaha; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Jane and Russell Tilson and nephews, Thomas Tucker and Donald DeMoss.
