Description	:	The oldest member of Crane Creek Lutheran Church, rural Tripoli. Karoline Zander, died Dec. 22 at the age of 102 at Denver Sunset Home. Karoline Lela Zander was born Nov. 30, 1883 in Douglas Township, the daughter of Henry and Karoline Rewoldt Schellhorn. She was baptized Dec. 23, 1883 by Rev. Albert in the Lutheran Church, Siegel and confirmed in the same church in April, 1898 by Rev. Dilges. On April 23, 1908 she was married to Henry P. Zander in St. John Lutheran Church. Karoline Zander, died Dec. 22 at the age of 102 at Denver Sunset Home. Karoline Lela Zander was born Nov. 30, 1883 in Douglas Township, the daughter of Henry and Karoline Rewoldt Schellhorn. She was baptized Dec. 23, 1883 by Rev. Albert in the Lutheran Church, Siegel and confirmed in the same church in April, 1898 by Rev. Dilges. On April 23, 1908 she was married to Henry P. Zander in St. John Lutheran Church. Crane Creek by Rev. J. Herbst. The couple lived on a farm southwest of Tripoli and were lifetime members of Crane Creek Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sons, Lorenz of Frederika and Henry of Waterloo; 31 grandchildren. 71 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Also by one brother, Henry of Waverly; and two sisters, Martha Washkat of Tripoli and Linda Faust of Waterloo. Mrs. Zander was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Erna and Mrs. Willie (Luella) Meyer, two sons, Edwin and Arnold. Her parents, seven sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Crane Creek, rural Tripoli with Rev. Donald Wahlgren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
