In 1874, she came to South Dakota with her mother and siblings. On 2 April 1882 she was baptized and joined the Salem -Zion church. On May 21, 1884 married John Miller, with whom she shared over many joys and sorrows . Five sons and 7 daughters were given to them . All are married. After their marriage the young couple moved into the farm home and lived ever since. She was a faithful member of the church. Otherwise pretty healthy, she suffered a stroke on November 9, 1941 and was laid after bed and suffered a lot, but she was there patiently and enjoyed faithful care of relatives . The last few days she was unconscious and on August 8, 1943 at 4 clock in the morning she was allowed to go home at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 5 days as we are confident to believe in their Saviour to be . It mourns her husband, the children and grandchildren along with many friends, but they look forward to the day of the reunion . (CBB September 14, 1943 p.15 ) -- Carolina Waltner Miller, jüngste Tocher von Joseph und Maria Graber Waltner, ward am 3. Dezember 1867 zu Potsche, Wolhynien, Rußland geboren. Ihre 3 Brüder, 3" Halbschwestern, 4 volle Schwestern und 1 Halbschwester sind alle gestorben, und mit ihre hat die Letzte der Familie das Zeitliche gesegnet. Ihre Vater starb in Rußland. 1874 kam sie mit Mutter und Geschwistern nach Süd Dakota. Am 2. April 1882 ward sie getauft und Glied in der Salem-Zion Gemeinde. Am 21. Mai 1884 heiratete sie Johann Miller, mit dem sie über 59 Jahre Freud und Leid teilte. Fünf Söhne und 7. Töchter wurden ihnen geschenkt. Alle sind verheiratet. Nach ihrer Heirat bezog das junge Paar die Farm auf welcher die Heimgerufene seither wohnte. Sie war ein treues Glied der Gemeinde. Sonst ziemlich gesund, erlitt sie am 9. Nov. 1941 einen Schlag und war nachdem bettfest und litt viel, doch war sie dabei geduldig und erfreute sich treuer Pflege der Angehörigen. Die letzten Tage war sie bewußtlos und am 8. August 1943 um 4 Uhr morgens durfte sie heim gehen im Alter von 75 J. 8 M. und 5 Tagen, wie wir zuversichtlich glauben um bei ihrem Heiland zu sein. Es trauern um sie, ihr Gatte, die Kinder und Großkinder nebst vielen Freunden, doch freuen sie sich auf den Tag des Wiedersehens. (CBB 14 Sep 1943 p.15)
