Remboldt, Gackle Pioneer, Dies at Age 80 Mrs. Christ Remboldt, 80, longtime resident of Gackle Community, died late Monday night at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown where she had been a patient for the past three months. Funeral services were Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Baptist Church in Gackle with Elder D. E. Howe and Elder Albert Schimke of the Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Burial was in the Gackle Cemetery. Mrs Arthur Brandenburg played a program of organ music. A quartet, Robert Liebelt, Arthur Heinrich, Arthur Reile, and Lawrence Schroeder sang with Miss Cynthia Heinrich playing the accompaniment. Ushers were Ezra Hehn and Fred Schmierer. Pallbearers were August F. Lang, Rudolph Lang, Fred Schroeder, Gus Schmierer, Emil Remboldt, and Conrad Rivinius. Mrs. Remboldt the former Caroline Lang was born Jan 28, 1885, at Kassel, South Russia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Lang. She came with her parents to the United States in 1900 and the family settled at Tripp, S. D., moving later that year to North Dakota where they established their home on a farm nine miles northeast of Gackle in Stutsman County. On March 19, 1905, she was united in marriage to Christ Remboldt on the family farm and they homesteaded four miles northeast of Gackle. They farmed northeast of Gackle until their retirement in 1938 when they moved into Gackle to make their home. Mr. and Mrs Remboldt celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in the spring of 1965. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gackle. Surviving are her husband, four sons, Albert C. Remboldt, Edward C. Remboldt, and Oscar Remboldt, all of Gackle and Rueben C. Remboldt, Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Emil Netz (Ruth), Morgan, Utah, 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Solomon Sperle, San Mateo, Calif. Haut Funeral Home. Relatives attending from out of state were Rueben C. Remboldt, Spokane, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Netz and Bobby Netz, Morgan Utah. ----------- From B.
