Description	:	The Leavenworth Echo - April 17, 1905 Mrs. Carrie Barron died at the Leavenworth Hospital Wednesday night at 11 o'clock. Death came at the result of an operation which Doctors McCoy and Shore performed for the removal of a cancer. Mrs. Barron had been a sufferer from cancer for many years and had previously undergone four operations for the same cause. Read More	The Leavenworth Echo - April 17, 1905 Mrs. Carrie Barron died at the Leavenworth Hospital Wednesday night at 11 o'clock. Death came at the result of an operation which Doctors McCoy and Shore performed for the removal of a cancer. Mrs. Barron had been a sufferer from cancer for many years and had previously undergone four operations for the same cause. Recently she had undergone great and unbearable suffering and determined to have another operation performed. Though with misgivings as to the result, telling her that in her weakened condition it might prove fatal, Dr. McCoy undertook the task and did all that surgical skill is capable of. Mrs. Barron had said she would rather take the small chance of life than undergo the terrible suffering. Mrs. Barron was born in the state of New York almost fifty-eight years ago. She has no living relatives other than her own children. She leaves to mourn the loss of a mother four sons and two daughters, Charles and Will Barron, Snohomish, Wash., Fred Barron, Chelan, Wash., Raymond Barron, Florence, Wash., Mrs. Teuch, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. E. G. Spencer, of this city. William Barron has been here on a visit to the family of E. G. Spencer for some time. The body has been embalmed and will be kept until the different children arrive in Leavenworth, which will be by Sunday, April 9th, when the funeral will take place and the body interred in the Leavenworth cemetery. Mrs. Barron had made her home here with her daughter. Mrs. Spencer for many years and was well known and esteemed by all who knew her.
