Kelling Clausen was born on a farm near Renwick, Ia., January 6th, 1868, and passed away at 6:10 p.m. at Rochester, Minn., October 25th, 1923, at the age of 55 years, 9 months and 19 days. Kelling Clausen was born on a farm near Renwick, Ia., January 6th, 1868, and passed away at 6:10 p.m. at Rochester, Minn., October 25th, 1923, at the age of 55 years, 9 months and 19 days. Her girlhood days were spent on the farm. On January 6th, 1892, she was united in marriage to Peter H. Classon, and to this union were born three daughters and four sons, George H. of Renwick, Louis P. of Wichita, Kans., Mary M. Nelson of Renwick, Laura A. Spurling of Berkley, Iowa, Edward R. and Edith V. of Renwick, and James W., who died in infancy. They moved to a farm in Boone township and alter bought a farm south of Renwick where they lived until 1909, when they moved to town which has been their home ever since. She leaves to mourn her death, six children, six grandchildren, a father, four sisters, three brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. Her husband and one son proceeded her in death. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. God in his wisdom has recalled, The boon his love has given, And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in Heaven. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church following a short prayer at the home. Rev. Nicholson of Goldfield officiating. Interment was at Vernon Cemetery. Those present from out of town were: Louis Clausen of Wichita, Kans., Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Spurling of Berkley, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sill of Ceylon, Minn., Mrs. Dora Campbell of Fairmont, Minn., and Will Kelling of Ceylon, Minn. Obituary contibuted by; Bob Neely
