Description	:	On Monday, Dec. 26, Mrs. George Flower, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Frank Stevens of Redfield, quietly and peacefully closed her eyes on the scenes of earth. In the death of Mrs. Flower there passed away one who was very closely associated with many of the homes of Groton in the early days. In the sick room she was an angel of comfort until advancing years enfeebled her powers, and many a reader of the Independent will breath a benediction as they learn of her death. C. In the death of Mrs. Flower there passed away one who was very closely associated with many of the homes of Groton in the early days. In the sick room she was an angel of comfort until advancing years enfeebled her powers, and many a reader of the Independent will breath a benediction as they learn of her death. C. Eliza Fuller, born in Lysander, N. Y., Mar. 26, 1832. Married to Geo. H. Flower in 1852. Came to South Dakota with her family in 1883, where she has since lived with her only child, Mrs. Frank Stevens, another daughter, Mrs. Calla Chase having died in 1998. The body was brought to Groton Tuesday night and taken to the Cassels home, where Rev. McKay of Redfield conducted the burial services at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, and the body was laid to rest in Union cemetery, beside that of her husband who died in 1887. Mrs. Flower, during the years in which the Groton Collegiate Institute was in operation, was in charge as matron. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens and their two sons-one of whom lives at McIntosh where he is in the banking business, and the other a student at the Minnesota University, and their daughter, Miss Florence, were present at the funeral.
