Her father and mother were members of the Methodist Episcopal church. She was true to their instruction and example, and early in life became a Christian and united with the church of her parents, to which she remained devoted during her life. April 18, 1868, she was married to Charles T. Roth, and came with him to Monticello, Ind. Here her children, two daughters and four sons were born, and here her life work was chiefly done. She was a good woman, useful in the church and community, and greatly loved by her neighbors. Her life was more than usually cheery, and attractive to little children. The summons to reward came suddenly March 14, 1896. The husband and five children remain. Written by Rev. Isaac Dale
