Description	:	Caroline Grace Comstock Contreras, 75, of Wichita, Kansas, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday evening, October 25, 2020. Caroline was born March 21, 1943 in Cedar Vale, Kansas, the oldest of ten children to William Nathan and Ellen Belle (Byrum) Stone. She was raised and received her education in the Cedar Vale area. Caroline attended nursing school and graduated as an LPN in 1975. She worked for many area hospitals and nursing homes in Cedar Vale, Dexter, Sedan, and Winfield. She enjoyed going for walks, writing poetry, and playing the piano. She was always “on the go”... Read More	Caroline Grace Comstock Contreras, 75, of Wichita, Kansas, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday evening, October 25, 2020. Caroline was born March 21, 1943 in Cedar Vale, Kansas, the oldest of ten children to William Nathan and Ellen Belle (Byrum) Stone. She was raised and received her education in the Cedar Vale area. Caroline attended nursing school and graduated as an LPN in 1975. She worked for many area hospitals and nursing homes in Cedar Vale, Dexter, Sedan, and Winfield. She enjoyed going for walks, writing poetry, and playing the piano. She was always “on the go” and enjoyed traveling. She especially loved going to church. Wherever she was, she found a church to attend. She was the spiritual leader and biblical teacher in the family home. Her family includes her son Doug Comstock and wife, Marilyn of Elk City; daughters, Denise Hoseah and husband, Alex of Park City; Anita Smith and husband, Randy of Wichita; her siblings, Loma Smart of Sedan; Bill Stone of Blackwell, OK; Tim Stone of Cedar Vale; Don Stone of Cedar Vale; Terry Stone of Blackwell, OK; Opal Evert of Pittsburg, OK; Ruth Lane of Sedan; Dale Stone of Cedar Vale; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Stone. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Cedar Vale Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service. A memorial has been established in Caroline’s name for the Wauneta United Methodist Church.
