Description	:	Caroline Hauff Henke, 95, Bismarck Baptist Home, died May 7, 1997, in the nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bismarck Baptist Home Chapel, with the Rev. Clyde Leimberer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. She was born July 27, 1901, in Calhlu, Romania, the daughter of Gottlieb and Mary (Berg) Hauff. She came to the United States with her parents; four brothers; and six sisters. Clyde Leimberer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. She was born July 27, 1901, in Calhlu, Romania, the daughter of Gottlieb and Mary (Berg) Hauff. She came to the United States with her parents; four brothers; and six sisters. The family homesteaded north of Golden Valley, where she worked on the family farm with her parents until her marriage to William Henke on Jan. 1, 1925. They made their home on a farm located between her parents' and his parents' homes where they raised their family of seven children. William died May 25, 1955, leaving her to raise the youngest of the children, Danny, who was six years old. On April 1, 1965, Caroline had a osteotmy of her hip and upon dismissal from the hospital she entered the Bismarck Baptist Home where she continued to live. During the many years at the home she enjoyed visiting with other residents, family and friends. She crocheted many afghans for family and friends and enjoyed reading her Bible and singing old German gospel songs. Her favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and the Lord's Prayer. She is survived by four sons, Ervin, Clarksburg, W.V., Walter and Daniel, both of Englewood, and Robert, Denver; three daughters, Evangeline K. Williams, Greenville, S.C., Eleanare Johnson, Oakridge, Ore., and Marion Heit, Englewood; one brother, Herman, Beulah; one sister, Sophia Hauff, Golden Valley; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by three brothers and five sisters. Her favorite quotation was, "I'm OK. I have everything I need -- for eternity."
