Description	:	Caroline "Lena" Huber, 91, of Edgeley, ND, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley. Lena was born on April 4, 1921, in Emmons County, near Hague, ND, to Carl and Elizabeth (Zacher) Gefre; the 4th of 12 children. She was raised on the family farm and attended school and church (St. Aloysius) by the creek (Criek). She married Peter Huber on October 17, 1944 in St. Aloysius. Read More	Caroline "Lena" Huber, 91, of Edgeley, ND, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley. Lena was born on April 4, 1921, in Emmons County, near Hague, ND, to Carl and Elizabeth (Zacher) Gefre; the 4th of 12 children. She was raised on the family farm and attended school and church (St. Aloysius) by the creek (Criek). She married Peter Huber on October 17, 1944 in St. Aloysius. The couple moved to the Edgeley area in 1948 to raise their 9 children. Peter died in July 1989. After Peter's death she continued to live on the family farm a few years. She later moved into Edgeley where she enjoyed bingo, pinochle, and visiting. She drove as long as her eyesight permitted. Lena was a member of Transfiguration Parish and the Altar Society. In March 2012, Manor St. Joseph became her home that she absolutely loved and enjoyed. Lena is survived by her daughter, Celestine "Sally" (James) Mathern and their five children, Charlotte (Than) Young, Lisa (Tim) Long, Jason (Collette Wald), Kristi (Gary) Moch, Dallas (Brook Powell); son, Frances "Jim" Huber and friend, Genny, and children, Bryan (Emmy), Amanda (Tracy) Brumfield, Brandon (Amanda), and Justin (Melissa); daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" (David) Glaspell, parents of Tanya (Tim) Fisher, Ryan (Lindsay); son, Tom Huber; daughter, Charlotte (Mike) Manstrom parents of Jeremy (Jamie), Peter, and Hannah, son, Allen (Susan) Huber, parents of Alyssa (Jeremy) Sierra, and Cole (Chelsey); son, Ronald (Rita) Huber, parents of Morgan, Chelsey, and Logan; son Terrance "Terry" (Becky) Huber, parents of Austin, Treyton, and Tiegen; son, Steve (Betty) Huber, parents of Robert (Sarah), Stephanie (Shannon) Spitzer, Bruce, and Shana. Lena is also survived by her sisters, Katherine Holzer, Mary Vetch, Sister Rosalind, Rose Schumacher, Angelina Huber, and Bernice Chambers, as well as two sisters-in-law, Alice Gefre and Ann Gefre. Lena has 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren…one of her greatest joys was seeing the small children. She loved them all so very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter; five siblings, one daughter-in-law, Judy; one grandson, Tyler Glaspell; and one great grandson, Marcus Young. Visitation: 3:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND. Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.
