(from obit) Caroline Mary Bremer, daughter of John and Catherine Bremer was born near Highland Park, IL Feb 10, 1867, the oldrest of nine children. The family moved to Linn Co, IA and settled near Paris where mrs. Evans spent her early life. She married Adam Evans on Jan 2, 1889 at Marion and began housekeeping on a farm near Paris. The Evans home was a haven of refuge for many friends and relatives. Richard Richardson a nephew and Mable Bremer Mills, a sister, were reared in the home. Two children came to bless the Evans home, Adam, Jr. and Geroge T. of Walker.Mr and Mrs Evans moved to Walker about 1934. Mr Evans passed away Nov 10, 1936. The last three years were spent in the home of her son Adam Evans, Jr. She passed away Nov 3, in a nursing home in Cedar Rapids. She is survived by her two sons, two sisters, Mrs B. F. Griggs of Hollywood, FL and Mrs. Mable Mills of Walker. Buried in Blodgett Cemetery.
