Description	:	Caroline Kittelson was born in Wisconsin on 04 June 1855. On 02 April 1874, she married Nils Pladson, born in Næs, Buskerud (Hallingdal), Norway, who came to America in 1870 and settled in Worth County, Iowa. Caroline and Nils lived at various places in Iowa, Minnesota, Canada, and North Dakota. They came to Dakota Territory in 1878 and homesteaded near Hatton. The 1880 census lists Nils, Caroline, Ida Matilda, Bernt Olaus, and Henry. They lived in Steele County north of Hatton until 1909. From 1909 to 1914 they lived in Roseau, Minnesota, then moved to... Caroline and Nils lived at various places in Iowa, Minnesota, Canada, and North Dakota. They came to Dakota Territory in 1878 and homesteaded near Hatton. The 1880 census lists Nils, Caroline, Ida Matilda, Bernt Olaus, and Henry. They lived in Steele County north of Hatton until 1909. From 1909 to 1914 they lived in Roseau, Minnesota, then moved to Kelvington, Canada, where Nils died in 1919. Caroline stayed until 1934, when she moved to Hatton, where she lived with her daughter Clara and husband John until she died in 1937. Caroline and Nils had twelve children: Ida (Mrs. Ludvig Davidson), Bernt Olaus, Henry Halvor, Helen (Mrs. Ole Hanson), Clara (Mrs. John Hanson), Bella (Mrs. E. O. Olson), Kari (twin of Bella), a baby girl who died in infancy, Nora (Mrs. Ted Gunurud), Bernt Gilman, Selma (Mrs. Hans Siljan), and a baby boy who died in infancy.
