To make things confusing - there is another Caroline Lower buried in Columbiana Cemetery with differnt dates and headstone photo as testimony. From D Felger 6/12/2014: From the Reveille Echo, 08/24/1916: Following a short illness, Caroline Lower for a number of years a resident of Unity and well known to many people passed away at the home of her son Armenus Rauch and family in Leetonia Wednesday at 10 p. m. Deceased was born near Springfield September14, 1821, and had she lived until next month would have reached her ninty-fifth year. Death was due to infirmities of age. To her first marriage to Peter Rauch five children were born, four of whom survive, Armenus Rauch of Leetonia, Omer and Willis who reside north of town, and Augustus in Iowa. Later she was married to John Rauch and her last husband was Elias Lower who preceeded her in death several years. The remains will be brought Saturday to the Brick church near Unity where services will be conducted at 3 o'clock by Rev. Rothenberger of the Reformed church. Interment will be made in East Palestine.
