Description	:	Caroline Theola "Tec" Kvidera, 68, of Friendswood, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at her residence following a two-year long illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sioux City, with Monsignor Michael D. Sernett officiating and Monsignor Nicholas J. Ruba in attendance. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Anthon, Iowa, with the Rev. Terry A. Roder officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mrs. Kvidera was born Oct. 2, 1936, in Sioux City, the daughter of Edward and Caroline (Elsasser) Lilly. She was raised in Sioux City. She married Cyril R. "Cy" Kvidera on May 3, 1958, in Sioux City. She was employed as a secretary for St. Michael's Grade School from 1969 to 1975. From the mid-1970s to the early 1980s, she was employed as a secretary for Farmers Insurance Co., then became the secretary for Bishop Frank H. Greteman and Bishop Lawrence D. Soens. The couple moved to Marshalltown, Iowa in 1985. They later moved to Friendswood in 1991. Mr. Kvidera passed away Sept. 22, 1991, in Clearlake, Texas. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sioux City and Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood. She was active in many church activities including the Altar Society and the church school activities. She enjoyed working with arts and crafts. She also was involved with genealogy. She also completed a computer course and was very pleased in getting her diploma. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Doug Neal of Friendswood and Renee and Bruce Pals of Titonka, Iowa; five grandchildren, Ashley and Erik Neal and T.J., Kyle and Kailey Pals; and a sister, Agnes Morrow of Selby, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Ed and Tom Lilly; and a sister, Jeannette Lilly. Pallbearers will be Erik Neal, T.J. Pals, Jimmy Morrow, Jeff Morrow, Jim Lowe and Lauren Frisch.
