According to the Illinois State Archives Marriage Index, Caroline and William F married on March 23, 1875. I haven't verified this date. I have no idea why October would be listed as the month in the tree. William's page lists March. In what appears to be the correct 1860 census for Caroline, her mother and brother are with her in the town of Eagle, Illinois. https://beta.familysearch.org/pal:/ MM9.1.1/MX4L-XRD By 1870, they have landed in Lostant, Richland Township. See line 38-10. Caroline's stone reads December 25, 1854. The 1900 census says January 1855 is her date of birth, which is quite close and might be her christening date. Here is another date: a line from a well-researched tree backed by Illinois family and other records: 8. WILLIAM2 GRIVY (WILLIAM1) was born May 20, 1854 in Illinois. He married CAROLINE RICHARD March 23, 1875. She was born January 20, 1857.
