The pall bearers were: Lewis Himes, Charley Bowman, D. E. Bowman, Thos. Murray, Grand Ledbetter and Benton Burgess. OBITUARY Caroline, daughter of John and Caroline Rowe, was born Feb. 21, 1844, in the vicinity of Hagerstown, Md., died Dec. 21, 1923, age seventy-nine years and ten months. At the age of about two years, she was brought, by her parents, to Indiana, and finally settled in the vicinity of Hagerstown, where she grew to Womanhood. In May, 1865, she was married to David M. Werking. To them were born seven children. In the autumn of 1866 she, with her husband, joined the Church of the Brethren. In Feb. 1910, her husband died. Since then her children supplied her needs and cares. She always tried to live a faithful christian life. During her last sickness she called for the anointing of James 5:14, which was soon administered, greatly to her comfort, in the midst of her intense suffering. She leaves to mourn, two sons, Charles and Oscar Werking, Mrs. Mary Hutchison, Mrs. Martha Laudig, one brother, Thomas, all of Hagerstown, Ind., one sister, Mrs. Susan Rhoades, of Mooreland, Ind. Also, an aged stepmother, of Hagerstown, Indiana, three half-brothers, Charles, William and Oliver; seven half-sisters, Mrs. John Teetor, Mrs. Lewis Waltz, Mrs. Oliver Brown, Mrs. Lloyd Williams, Mrs. William Dolly, Mrs. Arthur Champlain, Mrs. Sylvester Jessup and nine grand-children and four great-grand-children. The following attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. Charley Rowe, of Muncie; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Champlain, of Anderson. Messrs. Wm. Werking and Joe Hoover of North Manchester; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Shiltneck and Mr. and Mrs. John House, of New Lisbon; Miss Anna Keagy, of Altoona, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Replogle, of New Castle; Mr. and Mrs. David Rhodes, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Replogle, Mr. and Mrs. David Dakins, Mr. and Mrs. John Woollard, Mrs. Wamppool and son; Mrs. Loughingwell and Mrs. Stella Conway, all of Mooreland. "
