Caroline Marie (Sellhorst) Oligmueller, 87 passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022, at the Wisner Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Caroline was born June 15, 1934, to Pete and Theresa (Gross-Rhode) Sellhorst in Dodge, Nebraska. Caroline attended Sacred Heart Academy in Olean. She met the love of her life, Joe and the two were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on May 10, 1955. To this union, they had five children. They farmed throughout their married life and Caroline enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Caroline was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. She also served as a 4-H leader for many years. Spending time with family and friends was very important to her as was her faith. She especially enjoyed playing card games, listening to music and going to dances. Throughout the years, she and Joe were active in a couple of card clubs. Caroline had a great eye, and she could see the potential in any piece of "treasure" that she acquired. She also loved crocheting, sewing and every Saturday, while she was singing, the house smelled of her freshly baked goods while country music played in the background. Above all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were Caroline's pride and joy and every minute she spent with them was precious. Survivors include her children: Brenda (Jim) Leise of Omaha, Patricia Oligmueller of Seattle, Gail (Aaron) Raabe of Omaha, Brian (Tanya) Oligmueller of Beemer, and Lisa (Jeff) Petet of DeForest, WI; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Lou Sendgraff of Fremont, Patricia Kaup of West Point, and brother-in-law Bob Melisaratos of Lakewood, CO. Caroline is proceeded in death by her husband Joseph, infant children, parents Pete and Theresa, in-laws Joe and Mary, brother William Sellhorst, sister JoAnn Melisaratos, brother-in-laws Ray Sendgraff and Leander Kaup, sister-in-law Bernice Sellhorst and nephews.
