Read More	PIERCE COUNTY CALL; Pierce, Nebraska; Friday, May 1, 1903 Died. DILTZ-At her home in Pierce, Monday, April 27, 1903, Caroline Diltz, age 66 years and two days. The illness of Mrs. Caroline Diltz, as noted in the Call last week, terminated in her death Monday forenoon at nine o'clock, when she passed peacefully to that reward promised those who are faithful to the end. Mrs. Diltz was a woman of high character and beloved by all. A conscientious Christian-the world is better off for her living in it and her life and example has been and well be an incentive to those who knew her to "do better things." Caroline Whisler was born in Stark county, Ohio, April 25, 1837, and died April 27, 1903. With her parents she came to Iowa in 1855 and two years later was married to John Bartholomew. To this union three daughters were born, all of whom are living. In 1862 her husband died in the hospital at St. Helena while in the service of his country. In 1877 she was again married to W. K. Diltz and moved to Pierce where she has lived since. Deceased was converted when a young woman of 18 years and during her life was a quiet, conscientious and consistent Christian. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Allen Bishop, after which the remains were interred in Prospect View cemetery, beside her husband who died several years ago. Relatives from abroad were: Mr. and Mrs. Levi Diltz, of Wakefield; Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Chrystal, of Osmond; John Overholt and daughter, Nellie, of Bloomfield, and John Eberly, of Stanton.
