Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Federated Church. Family interment at the Columbus Cemetery. Carolyn Ann Irby was born Sept. 30, 1932, in Cozad, to Robert R. and Fern (Griffith) Good. She graduated from Cozad High School and Stephens College followed by two years at UNL. Carolyn and Bill had four children; Robert (Maureen) Irby of Columbus, Susan Irby of Minneapolis, Sarah (Mark) Boaz of Omaha and was predeceased by daughter Cynthia Irby. Carolyn enjoyed supporting her children's activities including Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed playing bridge and community activities. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a dedicated homemaker. Carolyn is survived by her husband, William (Bill) H. Irby, three children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two sisters Jane (Don) Kinnan of Cozad, NE, Mynette (Chan) Komarek of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Cynthia.
