A Camden native, Carolyn was born on March 27, 1928, to John D. Elmore and Fannie Watson Elmore. She graduated from Camden High School in 1945 and had maintained a relationship with fellow graduates throughout the years, attending annual school reunions as long as her health permitted. Read More	Carolyn Elmore Gordon, Age 93, passed away on January 15, 2022, at Life Care Center of Bruceton, where she had been a resident since April 2021. A Camden native, Carolyn was born on March 27, 1928, to John D. Elmore and Fannie Watson Elmore. She graduated from Camden High School in 1945 and had maintained a relationship with fellow graduates throughout the years, attending annual school reunions as long as her health permitted. On December 30, 1947, she married Endol H. Gordon, and the couple had three children. She was predeceased by Endol's untimely death on August 30, 1963. Carolyn was employed as a teller by Commerce Union Bank, and later worked as a school aide at Camden Elementary School. She enjoyed baking sourdough bread and sharing it with family and friends. An accomplished seamstress, she was also proficient in several forms of needlework. She maintained her flower garden well into her eighties. Reading was another of her hobbies. She was a member of the Camden Church of Christ. In addition, to her parents and husband Carolyn was predeceased by her brother, Plautt F. Elmore and his wife Alene Elmore, and daughter-in-law Diane Knott Gordon. She leaves her children, Mike Gordon and wife Bonnie of Jackson, TN., John (Jack) Gordon of Bradford, TN., and Laura Gordon Guy and husband Ross of Camden, TN., grandchildren Jennifer Gordon Leonard, Krystle Gordon McCall, Brooke Gordon, Glen Ross Guy and John Michael Guy, great grandchildren Peyton McCall and Kaden McCall, brother-in-law Stanley Gordon and wife Sammie, sister-in-law Bonnie Gordon Townsley, and several nieces and nephews.
