Carolyn graduated from Osceola High School. She was united in marriage to Gary L. Morey on January 9, 1963 in Creston, and two sons blessed the union. She was later married to Ignacio Romero in 1996. Carolyn graduated from Osceola High School. She was united in marriage to Gary L. Morey on January 9, 1963 in Creston, and two sons blessed the union. She was later married to Ignacio Romero in 1996. Carolyn worked as a Nurses Aide at a hospital early in her life. She was also employed at Jimmy Dean and IBP meat packing plants. She then went to work for the Waukee School district, retiring in 2003. Carolyn loved to shop, and in earlier years, she enjoyed going to dances and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those relatives who preceded Carolyn in death were her parents; son, James Shannon Morey; brother, Frederick Albert Perry; sister, Beverly Marie in infancy. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Tim Morey of New Virginia; grandchildren, Shawnae Morey of Des Moines, Nikki Morlan (Jason) of Des Moines, Tim Morey II of Des Moines, Shannon Morey of Glendale, AZ; great grandchildren, Hayden Pollock, Tyson Morlan, Nautica Garces, Aaliyah Morlan; sisters, Louise Driskill (Don) of Murray, Baunadine Foland (Robert) of Lorimor, Linda Williams (Jack) of Des Moines, Cora Kelly (Mike) of Fisher, IL; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
