Burial will be at the Streets Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa Cemetery. Carolyn Kay Clark was born on November 20, 1948 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Henry and Helen (Manning) Clark. She attended school in Monmouth. She married Lloyd Evans and they were together 25 years. She then married Theodore F. "Ted" Nims on October 4, 1991 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Carolyn had worked as a CNA for Manning Nursing Home in Maquoketa and also for Swift Meat Packing Plant in Clinton as a meat packer. Carolyn loved dogs, cats and birds. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, being outdoors, gardening and flowers, and morel mushrooms. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ted Nims of Andrew, IA; children, Donald (Denise) Evans of Delmar, IA, Mike (Carol )Evans of Maquoketa, IA, Pam (John) Schmidt of Monmouth, IA and Timothy (Becky) Evans of Sheldahl, IA; step-children, Todd (Jennifer) Nims of Delmar, IA, and Charlene (Alex) Perez of Cumming, GA; 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lucky Clark of Maquoketa, IA, Alan Clark of Monmouth, IA, Randy Clark of Maquoketa, IA, Ezra "Junior" Clark of Maquoketa, IA, Marty Clark of Maquoketa, IA, and Marvin Clark of Delmar, IA; sisters, Marilyn (Jeff) Grekoff of Maquoketa, IA, and Ellen (Steven) DeMoss of Sabula, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and a great-grandchild, Julia Jean Evans.
