Description	:	Carolyn L. "Connie" Wilcox, 61, a life resident of the upper Wenatchee Valley, died Thursday morning, May 18, 2000, in the Parkside Care Center in Wenatchee. She was born on Sept. 6, 1938, to Maurice and Myrtle E. (Monroe) Wilcox at Cashmere. In 1940, the family moved to Plain, where she later attended the one- room school at Plain for the first four years. She then attended school in Leavenworth; where she graduated from high school in 1956. While in school, she was active with the band as a baton twirler. "Connie" Wilcox, 61, a life resident of the upper Wenatchee Valley, died Thursday morning, May 18, 2000, in the Parkside Care Center in Wenatchee. She was born on Sept. 6, 1938, to Maurice and Myrtle E. (Monroe) Wilcox at Cashmere. In 1940, the family moved to Plain, where she later attended the one- room school at Plain for the first four years. She then attended school in Leavenworth; where she graduated from high school in 1956. While in school, she was active with the band as a baton twirler. Following school, she worked as a cook for the Tumwater Cafe and later the Edelweiss Restaurant. In 1981, she moved to the Blewett Pass area to make her home. Connie is survived by a daughter, Beth Gingerich of Peshastin; son, Andrew Bales of Leavenworth; stepdaughter, Dixie Gough of Leavenworth; and step-son, William O. Taylor of Okanogan; sister, Sharon Easterly of Leavenworth; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. At her request, there will be no service. Inurnment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery. Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
