Description	:	Carolyn Sue Dowden, 72, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette. She was born Decembr 27, 1944 in Indianapolis, to the late Hubert and Codell Carter. In 1960, Carolyn was married to Larry Dowden, and they had two sons. Carolyn and Larry later divorced, and Carolyn found companionship with Jack Lasley until his passing. Carolyn was employed as a tool-crib attendant at Delco Electronics for 25 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants. Carolyn is survived by one son, Don (wife, Vonnie); nine grandchildren, Cory Dowden, Greg Dowden, Jessie Dowden, Michelle Modulan, Heather McBride, Jamie Faucett, Keyonna Rose, Bri-Ann and Ashley; 11 great-grandchildren, Bryson, Bentley, Hayden, Chloe, Madison, Thriston, Hunter, Colton, CJ, Caroline and Ethan; and her close friend, Violet Burrell, who helped her during struggling times. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Jack; a son, Greg; and a great-grandson, Dylan. A public visitation for Carolyn will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo.
