Anderson Passed Away Saturday April 17th The news of the sadden passing of Mrs. J. H. Anderson, respected and elderly resident of Hull, was passed from person to person Saturday morning. Mrs. Anderson who had been confined to her home ail winter because of a heart ailment was seemingly recovering and gaining strength and her passing came as a sudden shock to relatives and her many friends. She had arisen in the morning, as was her usual custom, and was sitting in a chair talking to Mr. Anderson when, suddenly she slumped down and passed away a few minutes later. Funeral service were held Wed. Afternoon April 21st at the American Reformed church of which she was a member. Burial was in Hope Cemetery. The very large concourse of friends and acquaintances and the many floral offerings at the services attended to the esteem in which the deceased was held by all who knew her. Mrs. Carrie Belle Faner Anderson was born Aug 4, at Summit, Erie County, PA. When a small child, she, with her parents and twin sister, moved onto a farm near Fairview, Pennsylvania, where she spent her early years. In 1890, she came to Iowa to visit her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Kilheffer. Mr. Kilheffer was the druggist in- Hull. It was here that her husband received his apprenticeship. On December 31st, 1890, she and Mr. Anderson were married. On March, 1892. they were blessed with a little daughter, Esther Belle. On October 31st. 1897, a little son came to be a playmate and companion to his little sister. Survivors include her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Maris of Sioux Center. Iowa; her son. J. F. Anderson, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers In Pennsylvania; one brother in Michigan.
