Mrs. Saddoris, who died on New Year's day, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Holoch, and was born in LaSalle County, Ill., July 17, 1862. When she was four years of age, her parents brought her to York county, the family settling southwest of York. Mrs. and Mrs. Saddoris celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 6, 1949, and on March 2, 1950, Mr. Saddoris passed away. After their marriage in 1889 the family home was in York, but later they moved to the farm southwest of York where for over half a century they continued to reside, leaving it only after the death of Mr. Saddoris, and when Mrs. Saddoris suffered declining health. Surviving are two sons, Ora E. and Norval; a brother, William Holoch, Hillsdale, Ore.; and two granddaughters, Mrs. William Maden, York, and Mrs. Robert Harms, Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ora Saddoris. The services were in charge of Rev. G. T. Savery, and Mrs. Frances Cummings at the organ, and Melvin Briney, soloist, furnished music. Interment, was in the Holoch cemetery southeast of York. Pallbearers were Messrs. Frank Russell, George McDonald, Clinton Graham, W.C. Clayton, Arthur Johnson and Ed S. Martin.
