Description	:	Carrie Lillian Sowash was the daughter of George and Sarah Stuart Sowash. She was the sister of Frank Boyle and Mary Stuart Sowash Maxwell Callahan. she was a well-known teacher in the Irwin and North Huntingdon Township schools. She died unexpectedly in her home(home that she grew up in) at 600 Main Street in Irwin on Friday morning, December 4, 1963 at 8:45 o'clock. Her father had the first drug store in Irwin and had stores in Jeannette and Claridge as well. Her obituary states; She is survived by one brother, Frank B. at home, one sister, Mrs. F. Howard... Sowash of Irwin. Friends were received at the Snyder Funeral home with services being held Monday afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church at 2 o'clock, in charge of her pastor, Dr. EM Flanigan. Internment was made in the Irwin Union Cemetery.
