Description	:	Mrs. Carrie Matilda Thompson, daughter of Joseph and Laura Moore Archer, was born March 10, 1889, at Densmore, and died Oct. 17 at about three p.m. at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 7 days. She attended a rural school for her grade school education and then attended Norton High School. After graduating from high school, she taught school for several terms, then was employed by Farmers State Bank at Densmore for more than 20 years. Aug. 9, 1930, Miss Archer was married to Abram Kyle Thompson at Edmond, and they lived on a farm five miles Northwest of Densmore. Mr. Thompson died July 22, 1959. Since July 3, 1960, Mrs. Thompson had been a resident of Andbe Home, entering the Norton Hospital April 16, 1965. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church at Densmore. After her marriage, she attended the E.U.B. Church at Edmond. She is survived by two step-sons, Ben A. Thompson, Glendale, Calif., and Leonard E. Thompson, Bell, Calif., three brothers, Leland Archer and Joseph Archer of Densmore, and Floyd Archer of Wichita, and three sisters, Mrs. Noah Fredrick (Florence) of Lenora, Mrs. George Grubb (Minnie) of Tribune and Mrs. John Duke (Rozena) of Garden Grove Calif. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a step-son Kyle Thompson; one brother, Alvah Archer; and one sister, Mabel Archer. Mrs. Carrie Thompson will be remembered with appreciation by her family, and by the customers of the Farmers State Bank, as well as by the many other friendswich she acquired. Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. from the E.U.B. Church, Edmond, with Rev. Oscar Brown and Rev. Tracy Archer officiating. Musical selections, "Beyond the Sunset" and "My Only Hope" were sung by Mrs. Addie Mustoe and Mrs. Virginia Kern, with Mrs. Leroy Peil, pianist. Interment was at the Edmond Cemetery.
