Read More	Carrie was the daughter of Daniel & Lucinda Welsh Boggs. Her first husband was William Gibson, Jr. The Lovilia Press (Lovilia, Iowa) 4 Apr 1957 CARRIE M. HOUGHTALING Mrs. Carrie M. Houghtaling, 89, died at the Skiff hospital in Newton Sunday at 9 a.m. She had been a patient since March 19. She had been living in Newton with her daughter, Mrs. Edna Godfrey, for about two years. She was born at Centralia, Ill., October 12, 1867, the daughter of William and Carrie Boggs. She formerly lived southeast of Lovilia. Her husband John Houghtaling died in 1941. Besides her daughter Edna she leaves another daughter Mrs. Ella Ferneau of Oskaloosa; two sisters, Mrs. Jude Brugman of Springfield, Ill., and Mrs. Margaret Dover of Galveston, Tex.; and two brothers, George Boggs of Compton, Calif., and Bert Boggs of Chicago. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m., in the Zimmerman chapel with Elder Robert Zimmerman in charge. Burial will be in an Oskaloosa cemetery.
