Deceased was born in Wisconsin on June 22, 1865 and died July 26, 1902, aged 37 years, 1 month and 3 days. She was the daughter of Lars Olofson and Christina Hansdotter, but on the death of her mother, many years ago, she went to her grandparents and had since lived under their roof. She leaves a father, step-mother, two half-sisters, eight half-brothers, and other relatives besides a host of friends to mourn her demise. Through the ravages of disease early in her life she became the victim of facial deformity, but all through the long years she has lived since, she has always been patient and the last months endured much suffering. She was buried Sunday from the Lutheran church, which was decorated with flowers. A very large crowd was out to pay their last respects. The remains were interred in the Swede Bend cemetery. ******** There is no mention of a marriage, so where does the Hanson name come from?
