Description	:	Andrews, Dec 2 Carroll Durant Bourne, 17, of the Kent section of Georgetown County, was drowned at 6 p.m. Sunday when he was thrown from an outboard motor boat in rough water. The accident occurred in Sampit River, in the business district of Georgetown. John Willie West, a companion in the boat, was also thrown from the boat but managed to reach the shore of an island across the river. Read More	Andrews, Dec 2 Carroll Durant Bourne, 17, of the Kent section of Georgetown County, was drowned at 6 p.m. Sunday when he was thrown from an outboard motor boat in rough water. The accident occurred in Sampit River, in the business district of Georgetown. John Willie West, a companion in the boat, was also thrown from the boat but managed to reach the shore of an island across the river. Young Bourne's body was found in dragging operations at about 10 a.m. today. Coroner John A. Broach impanelled a jury, which returned a verdict that Bourne came to his death by accidental drowning, when he was thrown from a motorboat. The two young men were preparing to go on a hunting trip at the time of the accident. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sampit Methodist Church. Officiating will be the pastor, the Rev. A. W. Sanders and the Rev. H. H. Haynes. Burial will be in the churchyard, directed by Mayer Funeral Home.
