Mr. Waters was born December 1, 1923, in Luray, VA, and was a son of the late Elmira J. Shenk Waters and James Ezra Waters. He was the owner and operator of C. Edward Waters Insurance for 40 years and was one of the founding fathers of Luray Little League. Read More	Carroll Edward Waters, 90, of Luray, Virginia, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Luray. Mr. Waters was born December 1, 1923, in Luray, VA, and was a son of the late Elmira J. Shenk Waters and James Ezra Waters. He was the owner and operator of C. Edward Waters Insurance for 40 years and was one of the founding fathers of Luray Little League. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was a member of VFW Comer-Jones Post 621, American Legion Post 22 and Town and Country Supper Club. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. In Luray, VA on July 30, 1948, he married Gloria Holloway, who preceded him in death August 12, 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Waters of Mechanicsville, VA, and Carole W. Kemp of Irving, Texas; a sister, Elaine W. Russell of Luray; two brothers, James Conway Waters of New Market and R. Leon Waters of Bridgewater; a granddaughter, Deborah Y. Lucas of Luray, and two grandsons, Forrest E. Hodge of Mechanicsville and David W. Hodge of Richmond. The Rev. Dr. E. Allen Coffey, his son-in-law, will conduct a graveside service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray with military honors by Comer-Jones Post 621. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 266, Luray, VA 22835. Arrangements are by Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. An obituary was published in The Daily News-Record on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. ______________________________________________
