Description	:	Carroll Grant Sickles Carroll G. Sickles, age 93, of Fruitland Park, Florida, formally of Geneva, died Tuesday evening, May 11, 2021 in the Village Veranda Assisted Living facility in Lady Lake, Florida. He was born April 14, 1928, in Windsor, Ohio and was the son of the late Grant E. and Doris L. (Noderer) Sickles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald E. Sickles, sister-in-law, Kathryn (Casey) E. (Spore) Sickles and nephew, Mitchell K. Sickles. Sickles, age 93, of Fruitland Park, Florida, formally of Geneva, died Tuesday evening, May 11, 2021 in the Village Veranda Assisted Living facility in Lady Lake, Florida. He was born April 14, 1928, in Windsor, Ohio and was the son of the late Grant E. and Doris L. (Noderer) Sickles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald E. Sickles, sister-in-law, Kathryn (Casey) E. (Spore) Sickles and nephew, Mitchell K. Sickles. A 1946 graduate of Geneva High School, he worked at Geneva Hardware after graduation until enlisting in the United States Air Force in July, 1948. After his discharge in 1952, he attended radio and tv repair school in Chicago and then worked for Allied Radio Corporation before returning to Geneva. Carroll worked at Anderson's Food Market in Geneva, before becoming a letter carrier for 21 years for the United States Postal Service at the Madison Post Office, until his retirement in January, 1990. He was an active member of the United Church in Geneva for 35 years before moving to Fruitland Park, Florida in 1994, and becoming a member of The Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park. Carroll was a member of their Chancel Choir and was a tutor for 16 years in the church sponsored tutoring program with the Fruitland Park Grade School. He is survived by his niece, Terry (Don) Beckley of Sherrodsville, Ohio and nephew, Doug (Michelle) Sickles of Geneva, as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva, at a later date with a family graveside service. Published on May 18, 2021
