Description	:	Carroll J. Bolinger, 86, of Sterling, died Jan. 2, 1997, in Sterling. Visitation and viewing will begin 10 a.m. Monday at Chaney Walters Funeral Home. The funer al will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First English Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lohn M. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Otis Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First English Lutheran Church. Mr. Bolinger was born May 18, 1910 in Randolph County, Indiana, to Calvin and Martha (Spray) Bolinger. Memorials can be made to the First English Lutheran Church. Mr. Bolinger was born May 18, 1910 in Randolph County, Indiana, to Calvin and Martha (Spray) Bolinger. He attended school in eastern Indiana and western Ohio. He moved to Otis in 1931. He married Roberta Muchow on June 8, 1936, in Greeley. They moved to Sterling in 1940 and he worked for Cross White Chevrolet, J & L Texaco and owned Carroll's Texaco Service. He also worked for Whitcomb Motors, was bartender at the Elks Club, and was owner of Carroll's Fair Liquor. He was also a school bus driver for RE-i Valley Schools. He retired in 1980. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and upon his retirement, he began playing golf. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church and Riverview Golf Course. He is survived by his wife; son Robert and wife Dorothy of Greeley; brother Ralph of Muncie, Indiana; four granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
